Production Manager For Furniture Factory
JOB DESCRIPTION: –
- Plan, control and monitor production without any compromise on quality standards and production level
- Supervise daily management and maintenance of all machinery and equipment
- Engaging employees and maintain a favourable working atmosphere to the achieve objectives.
- Participate daily in production meetings.
- Work with various departments within the company for various projects.
- Have working knowledge of AutoCAD and production related software.
- Identify source of slowdowns (or full stops) of the production chain.
- Promote and maintain a culture of health and Safety and implement HACCP initiatives to promote prevention
- Document employee records and conduct performance evaluations
- Assess workforce needs, and maintain versatility within team
- Keep track of procedures and working methods with employees
- Recruit, train and manage the entire manpower resources
- Pro-active planning of raw materials, maintenance of equipment, stocking level of semi-finished/finished products, spare parts & consumables etc.
- Must have capability to conducted QC of products independently
- Packaging knowledge for CKD product
- Experience of loading the products for all weather transportation
- Should draft all Quality and training SOPs for equipment and all the production functions.
- Should have fair idea about standard factory layout and all requirements to set-up a furniture factory
Required Skills: –
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering
- Good understanding of Wood Working Machinery Operations and Maintenance
- Have working knowledge of Auto CAD and other factory related software
- Capability to assist in costing of each SKUs
- 10 years of experience in Furniture manufacturing
- Leadership, communication skills and mobilization
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Must respond well under stress and pressures of manufacturing environment
- Enthusiasm, flexibility and organizational skills
- Analytical and problem resolutions skills
- Autonomy and sense of initiative
- Must be able to work with a sense of urgency and work with strict timelines
- Availability to work additional hours
- Must be able to communicate in English and local language
KPI's: –
- Ensure that the product delivery and quality is maintained as per schedule
- No product rejections/rework from clients
- Cost consciousness and value engineering contributions
- Least machine/equipment breakdowns
- Availability of skilled and other manpower every time, with no HR issues
- Ensure least wastage/shrinkage
- SOPs/Training for each function and equipment
